The CHS 7E is the entry level member of this family. Featuring a CMOS linear imager it has a decode range of 3.2 to 61+ cm.

The CHS 7M is the mid range scanner and incorporates a class 1 laser scanner with a range of 2.5 to 90+ cm.

The third and final unit in the range is the CHS 7P which features a ruggedised case and uses a class 2 laser scanner delivering a range of 2.5 to 114+ cm.
