NCR have appointed IORESOURCE distributor for Ireland. Global market leaders in many areas of the POS industry, NCR have a well established reputation for innovation, quality, reliability and value for money.

IORESOURCE will introduce the NCR product line on a phased based beginning with the 2ST double sided thermal receipt printer and the 74ofx bioptic scanner/scales.

Elo TouchSystems, global market leader in the design and manufacture of touch screen technology developed the 15D1 Touch Computer specifically for the POS market.

Although Elo have enjoyed significant success with their 1529, 15A1, 15A2 and 17A2 touch computer units, they have yet to achieve the levels of success with their touch computer products that they have done with their touch monitors. The 15D1, a highly flexible and fully configurable solution, is expected to deliver this success.

Finnish manufacturer Nordic ID launched the Morphic series of hand held terminals during 2008. The product is expected to commence shipping in October.

Based on Win CE 6 the new device has the form factor of a mobile phone, will run existing applications, is compact, light and easy to use.

New 650 Series of Retail Terminals Deliver Power at PoS.

The 650ex series of Retail Terminals brings a new dimension to J2's renowned product range.

Based on a flexible chip set the 650 series will support processor types up to and including Core 2 Duo 2.667Ghz option and will support new processor types as they become available. The 650 features a "green mode" which can be enabled via the BIOS and also has RAID support.

The 17A2 from Touch Innovator, Elo Touch Systems, is a 17" All-In-One Touch PC.

A unique product offering, the 17A2 addresses niche requirements for an integrated touch computer with a larger format screen.

The latest addition to IORESOURCE's portable terminal range is the GT-10 and GT-11 from Canon Handy Terminal Solutions..

Featuring built-in printers and a range of excessories the new product offerings will allow our partners to deploy feature rich mobile applications based on a single "all-in-one" platform.

IORESOURCE will distribute J2's latest product offering the 580ex seriesof reteil terminals.

The 580 retains the ergonomics of the 560 but brings a range of 3 processor options which will open up markets that are more resource hungry that the typical EPoS or hospitality offerings.

Leading touch technology specialist, Elo TouchSystems, has introduced the 15A1 Touch Computer to supercede the successful 1529.

The 15A1 retains the ergonomics of the 1529 but offers a more diverse range of interface options and a higher specification processor. Elo will launch the 15A2, a higher specification 15" device later in the year.

As of September 2007 IORESOURCE will distribute Printek's range of Mobile Printer products.

We expect that the addition of this product set to our portfolio will further enhance our mobile product portfolio and help us to meet customer demands that hitherto were not addressed by existing products.

In order to enhance the range of services on offer, IORESOURCE has agreed to service the NordicID "Piccolink" range of hand held devices.

The arrangement means that customers can return the devices to our premises in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow rather than having to wait for equipment to be repaired and returned by NordicID.

The unique features of the Canon KT-1 Handy Terminal including built-in printer and chip & pin solution make it a must for mobile PoS solutions.

IORESOURCE added this product range to the portfolio of mobile products supplied to the Irish market in May 2007. Project focussed, the KT-1 delivers functionality, durability and reliability.

On 1st March 2007 ELO TouchSytems launched its latest touch technology - Acoustic Pulse Recognition (APR) - at their 2007 distributor conference. The launch was held at the Belgian Military Air Base at Florennes, as guests of Belgium's No. 1 Squadron.

APR combines the ultimate in optical qualities, durability, and stability, with excellent dragging properties, along with stylus, glove and fingernail activation, and low cost advantages. In addition, it is resistant to water and other contaminants on the screen, can be scaled from PDA to 42-inch displays, and provides palm rejection during signature capture.

APR works in a simple and elegant way—by recognizing the sound created when the glass is touched at a given position.

In early February 2007 IORESOURCE was honoured to receive an award from Unitech Europe in recognition of our outstanding sales performance for 2006 during the course of the launch of the PA600 rugged PDA at Dusseldorf, Germany.

2006 witnessed the successful implementation of a number of key projects by IORESOURCE partners based on Unitech hardware platforms. Unitech Europe launched their long awaited PA600 rugged PDA in Dusseldorf Germany during early February 2007.

IORESOURCE, impressed with the quality, performance and cost:performace ratio of the Zebex devices, plan to introduce 5 key products to the market as part of the launch of the Zebex range of Auto-ID portfolio.

In recognition of our outstanding performance in the mobile computer and auto-id market, IORESOURCE has been appointed the main distributor for Nordic ID in Ireland.

The highly successful RF600 (now RF601) family of products is expected to form the kernel of the product offering although Nordic also have a range of other devices that are expected to fit niche markets not addressed by existing products in the IORESOURCE product portfolio.

Evolis, the well known and innovative French manufacturer of ID/Card printers has produced the Tattoo ReWrite, a remarkable addition to their product range which allows the user to re-use the same card up to 500 times.

Long established label printer manufacturer Cognitive have produced a new range of small foot print industrial grade label printers.

Designed to give industrial printer type performance at a desktop price the C series is a the latest addition to the Cognitive portfolio and presents the market with an new and innovative solution to labelling requirements.

The OPL-2724 "Zapper" is an extremely compact & light portable 1D laser scanner with bluetooth connectivity designed for seemless integration with any portable device irrespective of operating system platform.

Unitech Europe have introduced the HT660 "ready to go" hand held terminal.

The HT660 is targetted at the Warehousing and Retail Markets the HT660 is a Win CE 5 based product but comes bundled with MCL Designer, Client and Link Lite Software Suite aswell as a charger & comms. cable to facilitate easy development and deployment of hand held soloutions.

The 560 is the latest Retail Touch Computer from J2 Retail Systems.

This new addition to the highly successful 500 series Touch Computers from J2 provides our customer base with an even greater range of solutions to their requirements. The feature rich 560 is available with either Resistive or Infra Red touch technologies.

touch4 is a new concept from UK based Service Alert.

The touch4 service call system allows the client easy interaction with staff whenever the customer needs service, whether it is waiter service, drinks or the bill. The advantage of the system for staff is that it makes their life easier by focusing on customer requirements when they arise. From the perspective of the owner/manager it increases revenue, focuses resources and provides essential analytical data that allows the business's resources to be used to greater effect.

A futher enhancement has been added to the PA9xx range of Rugged PDA's from Unitech.

The PA966 retains the award winning form factor of the PA9xx series but features a full alpha keyboard, optional 2D imager, a transfelctive TFT screen and will operate at temperatures as low as -20 degrees celcius.

The MS833 laser scanner kit from Unitech is available with USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232 interfaces. This robust product in pistol grip form factor comes complete with flexistand and comms. cable.
